Firehouse Museum

Project Description:

The foundation in conjunction with the City of Lakewood, has started the planning and fundraising portion of this project. We plan to build a 2000 sq ft fire station museum in the spirit of the 1st fire station in the Lakewood area. The museum is to be built in the Lakewood's Heritage Center at Belmar Park near W. Ohio Ave. & S. Wadsworth Blvd. The building would serve as a permanent home for fire safety and life safety education programs. The design of the museum is intended to reflect circa 1946 with apparatus and equipment from that era. Lakewood's Heritage Center hosts many annual events such as Cider Days and Lakewood on Parade.
